What is Leverage and liquidation?
Leverage opens a position several times the collateral. If price moves far enough against you, the position is force-closed (liquidated) and the collateral is lost.
Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. If price moves further than the collateral can cover, the exchange closes the position and the collateral is gone. A small move can wipe the account when leverage is high.
